History and Milestones
  • Foundation: The institute’s establishment in October 1990 marked a crucial step in advancing medical education in the region.
  • Renaming: In March 1991, the Presidium of the Bukhara Regional Council of People’s Deputies bestowed the name “Abu Ali ibn Sino” upon the institute.
Faculty Development:
  • Faculty of Medicine: Established in 1991.
  • Faculty of Dentistry: Founded in 1992.
  • Department of Highly Qualified Nurses: Established in 1999.
  • Department of Medical Pedagogy: Created in 2001.
  • Department of Pediatrics: Added in 2016.
New Directions

As of 2018, the institute introduced two new directions:

  • Medical Prevention Work
  • Medical Biology Work
