About Bukhara State Medical Institute
Founded in October 1990

History and Milestones
- Foundation: The institute’s establishment in October 1990 marked a crucial step in advancing medical education in the region.
- Renaming: In March 1991, the Presidium of the Bukhara Regional Council of People’s Deputies bestowed the name “Abu Ali ibn Sino” upon the institute.
Faculty Development:
- Faculty of Medicine: Established in 1991.
- Faculty of Dentistry: Founded in 1992.
- Department of Highly Qualified Nurses: Established in 1999.
- Department of Medical Pedagogy: Created in 2001.
- Department of Pediatrics: Added in 2016.
New Directions
As of 2018, the institute introduced two new directions:
- Medical Prevention Work
- Medical Biology Work
